Google Business Home Beta: What to Check First

Google Business Home is a new closed beta that brings your Business Profile, Google Ads, Merchant Center and YouTube together in one place, and Conqueror Capital recommends checking who owns each of those accounts before you connect them. Google's help page says the beta is available only to select business categories in the US and the UK, and eligible businesses receive an email invitation.

AT A GLANCE

By Conqueror Capital · Published

The short answer: Business Home is not something you can sign up for today; Google invites eligible businesses by email. If you get the invitation, first confirm that your business owns the Business Profile, the Google Ads account, the Merchant Center account and the YouTube channel you plan to link, and that your listing facts are correct. A new dashboard shows what is already there.

WHAT BUSINESS HOME IS

october 2026

Google describes Business Home as a growth partner built with Gemini models that connects your essential business tools.1 Search Engine Roundtable published the invitation email, which says the beta "brings together your Business Profile, Merchant Center, YouTube, and Ads accounts all in one place."2

Google's help page lists what the beta can do today:1

  • Create content with AI content generation and photo tools.
  • Manage locations: update hours, respond to customer reviews and more.
  • Get growth guidance that turns data into prioritized steps.
  • Message customers through AI-powered messaging with RCS for Business.

WHO CAN GET IT

eligibility

Google lists the beta requirements on its help page:1

  • An active Google Account, and a business based in the US or the UK.
  • Owner or manager of a verified Business Profile with fewer than 10 locations for the same business.
  • Only one type of business. Accounts that manage several distinct businesses are not currently supported.
  • At most one YouTube channel, one Google Ads account and one Merchant Center account linked.
  • The account and business follow Google's policies, including for the connected tools.

Eligible businesses get an email with a link to get started.1 Canadian businesses are not on the current list, so for now this is something to prepare for rather than act on.

WHAT TO CHECK BEFORE YOU CONNECT ANYTHING

ownership first
  • Who owns each account. The Business Profile, Ads account, Merchant Center account and YouTube channel should be owned by the business, not by a former employee, a relative or an old agency.
  • Which accounts are the real ones. Many businesses have a second Ads account or an old YouTube channel. Since Google allows one of each, pick the one you actually use.
  • Listing facts. Hours, phone, address, categories and services should match your website before AI tools start writing posts from them.
  • Who approves AI content. Decide who checks AI-written posts and edited photos before they go live, especially prices, offers and claims.

FOR MULTI-LOCATION AND ENTERPRISE BUSINESSES

the 10-location limit

The current beta is limited to verified profiles with fewer than 10 locations for the same business, and to one Ads account, one Merchant Center account and one YouTube channel.1 Larger chains, franchises and companies with several brands are outside that today, so their existing tools stay the main workspace. What carries over is the groundwork: a clean list of which accounts belong to which brand and location, one owner of record for each, and listing data that matches every location page on the website. That work pays off now, whatever Google launches next. See our multi-location Business Profile guide.
