LinkedIn Premium Company Page: Is It Worth It?

LinkedIn Premium Company Page is a paid upgrade to the free LinkedIn Company Page, now sold as three plans (Essentials, Plus and Pro), and Conqueror Capital's view is simple: it can be worth it for a business that already posts regularly and has a website that answers buyers' questions, and rarely before. Here is what the plans add and what to check first.

AT A GLANCE

By Conqueror Capital · Published

The short answer: Premium Company Page adds visitor and engager details, competitor insights, invitation tools, a custom button and extra branding to a free Page. It does not write your posts or answer your buyers. If your Page is quiet or your website sends visitors to a generic homepage, fix those first; then a trial will tell you more than any sales page.

WHAT LINKEDIN IS SELLING

three plans

LinkedIn's plan page lists three Premium Company Page plans. It describes Essentials as best for small businesses, Plus as best for growing brands and Pro as best for established brands.1 You need a free LinkedIn Company Page first, and LinkedIn says that if you cancel, your Page stays active but you lose the Premium features.1

According to the plan comparison, the features fall into three groups:1

  • Insights: audience segment insights, who has engaged with your content, who has visited your Page, executive leader post tracking and competitor insights.
  • Engagement: a custom call-to-action button, invitations to followers of similar Pages, and automatic invitations to people who engaged with your content.
  • Brand presence: Page verification, a Premium badge, a custom testimonial, featured rich media, "Meet the leaders" and Page branding.

The limits rise by plan. For example, LinkedIn lists competitor insights for 9 competitors on Essentials, 15 on Plus and unlimited on Pro, and Page visitor details for 30, 600 and 2,000 or more people a month.1 Pricing is per licence, billed monthly or yearly; check LinkedIn's Essentials page for the current price in your currency before you decide.2

WHO IT TENDS TO SUIT

be honest about usage

Paid Page tools multiply activity you already have. Visitor lists help only if someone follows up. Invitation credits help only if the people invited find recent, useful posts when they arrive. A testimonial and a button help only if the button goes somewhere that answers the next question.

A small business that posts once a quarter will get little from any plan. A mid-size business with a steady posting rhythm and a sales team that works LinkedIn every week may get real value from Essentials or Plus. Larger brands that want to measure executive posts and benchmark many competitors are the audience for Pro.

WHAT TO FIX BEFORE YOU PAY

the free levers
  1. Complete the free Page. Description, website link, locations, a clear tagline and a recent post. Many Pages are missing the basics.
  2. Post on a schedule you can keep. Our note on how LinkedIn's feed now reads what posts are about explains why specific, useful posts matter more than volume.
  3. Send people to an answer, not a homepage. A LinkedIn visitor who clicks through should land on the page that answers what they came for: pricing approach, the service, the industry, the next step. This is where AI automation on your website can help, routing each visitor to the right answer or form.
  4. Keep your own channels first. LinkedIn can change features and prices at any time. Your website and email list are yours, as we explain in owned channels vs rented platforms.

HOW TO TEST IT FAIRLY

one trial, one question

LinkedIn says eligible admins of free Company Pages can redeem a free trial of Essentials.2 If you try it, decide in advance what you are testing: for example, whether visitor details lead to conversations your team would not otherwise have had. Write down the follower count, the number of inbound conversations from LinkedIn and the visits from LinkedIn to your website before you start, and compare them at the end. Treat LinkedIn's own published averages as LinkedIn's claims, not as a forecast for your Page.

FOR MULTI-LOCATION AND ENTERPRISE TEAMS

budget like any other tool

For an enterprise marketing team, Premium Company Page is one more subscription line to weigh against tools you already pay for: social listening, analytics, advocacy software. Ask three questions. Who will act on the visitor and engager data each week? Does executive post tracking overlap with reports you already have? Will Page traffic land on location, product or industry pages built for that audience, or on one generic page? A multi-location business should also decide whether one corporate Page serves every location, and make sure each location page on the website links back and matches the Page's facts. Our enterprise services cover that website side.
