FOR ONLINE STORES

WEBSITES, SEO AND ADS FOR SMALL ONLINE STORES.

An online store competes with marketplaces and big brands for every search, so the basics have to be right: fast pages, clear products and ads that track real sales. We help small shops get those pieces working without pretending they are a local storefront.

WHERE THE LEADS LEAK

five common gaps
  1. Product pages with no words. Many small stores upload a photo, a price and a single line copied from the supplier. Google has almost nothing to rank, and the same text already sits on dozens of other sites. Original descriptions covering size, materials, use and care give both shoppers and search engines something to work with.
  2. Slow pages on mobile data. Large uncompressed images and piles of apps make product pages crawl on a phone. Shoppers who wait tend to go back to a marketplace listing instead. Trimming image sizes and unused scripts is often the cheapest improvement a store can make.
  3. Shipping and returns hidden away. Buyers want to know delivery times, costs and the return policy before they add to cart. When that sits in a footer link nobody opens, carts get abandoned at checkout. A short, visible summary near the buy button answers it earlier.
  4. Ads without purchase tracking. Plenty of stores run ads that are only measured by clicks. Without purchase conversions flowing back to Google and Meta, the platforms cannot tell which products or audiences actually sell. Setting up tracking properly comes before spending more.
  5. Chasing a Maps listing that does not fit. Some online sellers try to create a Google Business Profile at a home address or mailbox to appear in Maps. Google's guidelines do not allow that for businesses without in-person customer contact, and listings can be suspended. That effort is better spent on product pages and shopping campaigns.

WHAT THE SETUP LOOKS LIKE

site · profile · ads

The website

For an online store, the website is the whole shop, so we focus on the pages that make money: category pages, product pages, the cart and checkout. We build fast, mobile-first pages, write clear category and product copy you review before launch, and make shipping, returns and contact details easy to find. A new store site is designed, written and live in 24 to 48 hours from kickoff once we have your products, photos and policies.

We also set up the pieces search engines rely on: clean page titles, product structured data, a sitemap and Search Console. If you sell on a platform you like, we can work within it rather than starting over. Email and text sign-ups follow the rules that apply to your customers, such as CAN-SPAM and the TCPA in the US or CASL in Canada.

The Google Business Profile

A Google Business Profile is meant for businesses that meet customers in person, either at a location customers visit or by travelling to them. A shop that only ships orders does not qualify, and creating a profile at a home, warehouse or virtual office address that customers cannot visit risks suspension. We check eligibility first and will not create a listing that breaks Google's guidelines.

It does apply if you also run a showroom, a pickup counter open to the public, or regular in-person sales at a fixed location with staffed hours. In that case we set up the profile for that location only, and you keep owner access. For a pure online store, the better route to Google's shopping results is a Google Merchant Center account with a clean product feed, which can show your products in free listings and in shopping ads.

The ads

Shopping and Performance Max campaigns built on your Merchant Center feed show product images and prices right in Google results. We tidy product titles and attributes so they match what people search for, set up purchase conversion tracking, and split products into groups that make sense for your margins. Google runs an auction, so nobody can promise a return on spend, but you will see sales and costs in a plain monthly report.

Meta ads suit products that sell on looks or a story, and they work well for bringing past visitors back to items they viewed. We set up the pixel and conversions API where your platform supports it, build campaigns around your best sellers, and send every ad to you before it runs. If you ship to a limited area, location targeting keeps spend where you can actually deliver.

SEARCHES TO RANK FOR

examples, no volumes
  • buy [product] online
  • [product] free shipping
  • handmade [product]
  • [product] shop canada
  • [product] made in usa
  • best [product] for [use]
  • [product] gift set
  • eco friendly [product]
  • [product] same day delivery [city]
  • small batch [product]
  • [product] sizes and fit

Replace [product] with the items you actually sell and give each main category its own optimized page. City terms like [city] only make sense if you offer local delivery or pickup there.

FAQ

straight answers

Can my online store get a Google Business Profile?

Only if you have in-person contact with customers, such as a staffed showroom or public pickup location. A shipping-only store does not qualify under Google's guidelines, and we will not create a listing that could be suspended.

How do I show up in Google Shopping without a profile?

Through Google Merchant Center. You upload a product feed, and eligible products can appear in free listings and in paid shopping ads.

Can you work with my existing store platform?

Usually yes. We can improve the theme, pages and tracking on the platform you already use, or build a new site if the current one is holding you back.

Should I sell on marketplaces as well?

Many small brands do both, and it depends on your margins and products. We focus on your own site and ads, where you keep the customer relationship, and can talk through the trade-offs on a call.

Will ads make my store profitable?

Nobody can promise that. We set up proper purchase tracking so you can see what each campaign costs and sells, then adjust or pause what does not pay.
