WEBSITES, LOCAL SEO AND ADS FOR HAIR SALONS.
New salon clients shop with their eyes: they scroll photos of color and cuts before they ever read a price list. We build the site, the Business Profile and the ads so that the right person sees your work and books a chair.
WHERE THE LEADS LEAK
- Booking takes too many taps. A client who wants a balayage at nine at night will not call and leave a message. If the booking link is buried or opens a clumsy page, she books with the salon whose button sits right on the Maps listing.
- No photos of the actual work. Stock images of models tell nobody what your stylists can do. Real photos of real color corrections, curly cuts and bridal styles, taken with the client's permission, are what persuade a stranger.
- Services missing from the profile. Someone searching for keratin treatment, extensions or a curly specialist needs to see those words. If your profile lists only 'haircut', Google has little reason to show you for the higher-value services.
- One name for five stylists. Clients often follow a stylist, not a salon. When the site has no page or section for each stylist and their specialties, people who search a stylist's name can end up on an old listing or a competitor's page.
- Price questions go unanswered. Color and extensions vary, and owners are right to avoid fixed quotes. But a line that says 'from' pricing or 'consultation first' keeps a careful shopper from leaving to find any number at all.
WHAT THE SETUP LOOKS LIKE
The website
A salon site needs a booking button that follows the visitor down the page, a services menu written as text, a gallery organised by service, and a section for each stylist. We design, write and build it in 24 to 48 hours from the kickoff, mobile-first and fast, and link it to the booking system you already use.
Pages for the services people search by name, such as color correction, extensions, bridal hair or curly cuts, give Google clear signals and give nervous first-time clients answers about consultations, patch tests and how long an appointment runs. You approve every word before and after launch.
The Google Business Profile
We set the primary category as hair salon, add accurate secondary ones only where they apply, and list each service with a short description. The booking link goes on the profile so clients can book without leaving Maps. Hours, including late evenings or Sundays if you work them, need to match reality.
Photos carry the most weight for salons, so we plan a steady flow of fresh work, the chairs, the washing station and the front door so first-timers recognise the place. Posts can highlight a new stylist or a seasonal color trend. We reply to reviews in your voice, thanking clients by first name only where it feels natural.
The ads
Meta ads on Instagram and Facebook suit salons because the work is visual: a short video of a color transformation or a before-and-after carousel, shown to people within a practical drive of the salon. Google Ads catch the searches with clear intent, like 'hair salon near me' or 'balayage in [city]', with negative keywords for beauty school and job searches.
Both are tracked to bookings, calls and form requests so you can see which service ads fill chairs. The ad platforms run auctions and nobody can promise a set number of new clients, but tidy targeting keeps the spend near the people who can actually come in.
SEARCHES TO RANK FOR
- hair salon near me
- balayage in [city]
- color correction near me
- curly hair specialist near me
- hair extensions [city]
- bridal hair stylist in [city]
- keratin treatment near me
- women's haircut near me
- best hair salon in [city]
- highlights near me
- walk in hair salon near me
Give the high-value services their own words on the site and profile, and use the [city] versions on service pages. Only target the services your stylists actually offer.

GUIDES FOR THIS TRADE
FAQ
We already use a booking app. Do we still need a website?
Booking apps are good at scheduling, not at helping you appear in search for your services and city. A site that links straight into your booking app gives you both.
Can we post client photos?
Only with the client's permission, and ideally written. We can help you add a simple consent step to your routine so the gallery grows without awkward conversations later.
What about before and after photos in ads?
They are common for hair and can work well, but ad platforms review them and some rules apply. We keep them honest and unedited beyond normal lighting so they pass review and set fair expectations.
How do we get more reviews without being pushy?
A short text or card after the appointment, asking for an honest review, is usually enough. No discounts in exchange, and no only-asking the happy ones: Google does not allow either.
Can each stylist have their own Business Profile?
Google has specific rules for individual practitioners who share a location, and they do not always allow separate listings. We check eligibility first and use stylist pages on your site where a separate listing does not fit.
